#Samick piano age full
Full check of the electronics, the wiring is all ok. Complete cleaning of body, parts and fretboard If you don't like that, you can easily swap them with real humbuckers any time. Sound: vintage singlecoils goodness from the pickups with a lot of twang and air. Intonation: spot on, adjustable with the bridge The frets have been polished as much as I could without sanding them further down. Playability and string action: The guitar plays very easily with a low string action currently set to 1,7 mm on the 12th fret, low and narrow vintage frets, very narrow but girthy V/U shaped neck (41mm nut). Originality: All original except for the pickguard and parts of the neck binding. Hardware: fully functional, all cleaned but minor traces of corrosion and age remain. Electronics: fully functional, standard layout Still this is the reason why I am selling off this guitar cheaper than I would normally. Most noticable are the repaired neck bindings - looks a bit shaggy, but is well glued and nicely playable. Neck: straight neck, good frets with some wear (7/10), truss rod works some ditches to the back of the neck - a larger one close to the head has been sanded and is now unnoticable when playing. Please have a close look at all the pictures. Body: some dings and dongs, lacquer damages and small scratches and fissures, but nothing serious. Neck: likely mahoganey with rosewood fingerboard Dial down one of the volume pots to remedy this. Pickups: unlabelled singlecoils in humbucker-housing with ~5 kOhm output The sound is out of phase when the pickups are combined. The guitar does not have an "open book headstock", so it is clearly made AFTER the "lawsuit" between Gibson and Hoshino, after which all Asian companies more or less ceased making copies with the exact headstock of the originals. Built in the late 1970s in South Korea by Samick. Welcome to another fine guitar from The Old Europe! Please make sure to read the entire description below carefully, and look at all the pictures.
